Access Fixtures, a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of commercial and sports lighting, is spearheading a fundamental shift in the lighting industry with their new 26w LED traditional wall pack, the first to be priced lower than an equivalent 70w metal halide traditional wall pack.
For the first time ever, in addition to its lower cost of operation and maintenance, coupled with significantly better performance over the long-term, LED technology now holds an initial price advantage over comparable metal halide.
"This is a true game-changer," said Access Fixtures CEO, Steven Rothschild. "The lighting industry has just changed before our very eyes. Technology has finally reached the point where a number of our LED luminaires can now be priced lower than their metal halide equivalents. As you can well imagine, this factor will contribute greatly to LED rapidly solidifying its position as the dominant lighting technology."
The Access Fixtures 26w LED traditional wall pack features arrays with Samsung LED chips boasting a CRI of 85. To withstand the elements, it is constructed with a die-cast aluminum housing with a textured, architectural bronze powdercoat finish over a chromate conversion coating.
Compared to the "equivalent" metal halide wall pack, the LED wall pack has a higher mean luminaire lumen output, lasts approximately 5x longer, and uses 71% less energy. It is rated LM70 at 50,000 hours—approximately 15 years—virtually eliminating maintenance costs and, based on a 12-hour daily pattern of use at $0.25 per kWh, each LED wall pack will save property owners about $780 in operating costs over ten years.
Access Fixtures LED wall packs are Assembled in USA using domestic and imported components.
