Solomon Systech and Visionox Pioneer China’s 1st AMOLED Display Driver IC

Solomon Systech Limited today announced that it has successfully developed China’s 1st qHD AMOLED display driver IC with Visionox. Solomon Systech is a leading international semiconductor company providing display IC products and system solutions.  It is also the global market leader of PMOLED.  Visionox is a leading display panel manufacturer focusing on the development of OLED technology and products.

Funded by Electronics Information Industry Development Fund under Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, Solomon Systech and Visionox collaborated strategically to develop AMOLED display driver IC targeting smartphones.  The new qHD display driver IC has passed verification using 4.6” WVGA multi-color AMOLED display panels.  Building further on the success, both parties are collaborating to develop a new AMOLED display driver IC of even higher resolution.

AMOLED displays possess excellent qualities of thin structure, vivid color reproduction, free viewing angle, quick response rate, high luminance, high contrast, better sunlight readability, high flexibility and transparency, as well as low power consumption. These unique qualities make AMOLED displays well suited for the booming high resolution smart devices market.

"Our collaboration with Visionox has been highly fruitful and effective.  The successful development of the first qHD AMOLED display driver IC has marked an important milestone in the advancement of AMOLED technology in China.  It has also enhanced our product portfolio of display driver IC products and strengthened our presence in AMOLED market. We are looking forward to developing more innovative solutions with our partner, Visionox," said Raymond Wang, Vice President, Business Operations, Solomon Systech Limited.
