Chimei expanded china market with cooperating Foxconn

The LCD monitor market in China in 2010 was expected to reach 30 million, and LED-backlit models were expected to account for 25% of the market at the end of 2010 due to strong demand. Chimei was reported that it emphasized to develop the China market and aimed for revenues from overseas markets to reach 30% of total revenues in 2011, together with Foxconn Electronics’ channel retailers.

Through Foxconn's channel network, product advantages and brand name, Chimei expected to gain market share in China's LED-backlit monitor market and to expand its LCD TV business to China as well as other countries in Asia in 2012.

Chimei hoped the whole revenues reached NT$6 billion (US$199.33 million), up 30%, which could remain the first in Taiwan market in 2011. And the overseas markets were expected to have a 30% revenue share from overseas markets. The shipment for LCD monitors was planed to 800,000 units and oversea markets would account for 540,000 units.
