Home Depot schedules to sell a Philips LED bulb which now called the 12-watt EnduraLED, to replace the common 60-watt incandescent.   According to representatives from Philips and Home Depot , the bulb will be available by the beginning of December and will cost between $40 and $50.  

It's reported that a new 4000K CCT ANSI binned part has been added to LUXEON Rebel product portfolio by Philips Lumileds. At the same time, Philips Lumileds has also raised the top flux bin for its cool and neutral white LUXEON Rebel by 20%.   The new part delivers improved color rendering and tight binning to simplify luminaire designers' engineering efforts.

Valeo is fitting full-LED headlights on the ZB10 RENAULT and SEAT IBE concept cars exclusively presented at the Paris Motor Show. With their low energy consumption, equivalent to 85% of traditional headlamps, LEDs are perfect for electric vehicles because they increase their range, and they reduce fuel consumption by around 0.2 litres per 100 km for internal combustion engine vehicles.

Iwasaki Electric Co., Ltd. and OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, a Siemens Group Company jointly provided 50 units of street lights (LEDioc STREET 40VA) to Chuo-ward, Tokyo. It is one of their programs to ensure further security and environment in society. The street lamps employ OSRAM Opto Semiconductors’ Golden DRAGON Plus LEDs as the light source, of which is characterized by its 60,000 hours long life, achieving significant savings in energy cost and environment-friendliness.

The first screen of its kind, the Diamond Vision OLED, measuring 8.8sqm (3.84 m (w) by 2.3 m (h)) with a depth of just 9.9cm, has been installed at the material Research Center recently opened by the chemical and pharmaceutical company Merck KGaA in Darmstadt, Germany. ANC Sports Enterprises installed a new light emitting diode signage (LED) system at the Cintas Center, Xavier University’s multipurpose sports and entertainment arena. The signage system is highlighted by a center-hung scoreboard which features eight LED video displays and a 42’ long circular LED ribbon. The structure is nearly 18 feet tall and weighs approximately 14,700 pounds.
