Blinx Releases Sound Responsive LED Earphones

Blinx has introduced new sound responsive LED earphones, reports Ubergizmo. The earphones are equipped with a control box which enables the LED to pulse according to the tune of the music being played. Each of these earphones and the central control box includes three blue LED lights. These earphones are compatible with any device housing a standard 3.5mm jack. Apparently, the earphones are powered by two ZA13HP batteries. The Blinx earphones are also said to bundle up foam earbud protectors and instruction leaflet.

Optimistic Outlook for LED Power Supply in Q3

Since power supply companies ventured into the LED field, vendors have been optimistic about the outlook for market demand in 3Q09, according to industry sources. Lite-On Tech. (2301.tw) Chairman Song Kung-Yuan said that orders have been increasing quarter after quarter, and compared to the relatively low profit base in 1Q09, 2Q09 profit appeared to have “grown exponentially.”

Sony LED BRAVIA TVs to Be Announced in September

Sony X5500 LED TVs are set to launch September or October this year and are expected to be exhibited for the first time on the big consumer electronics fair IFA 2009 in Berlin this September. According to the FlatpanelsHD site, X5500 will feature a LED backlight with local dimming, which means that LEDs are located behind the LCD panel and can be controlled in a number of zones, just like on the Philips LED Lux model.

City officials say that the city has received a 50 thousand dollar grant for it to switch to new LED lights in different parts of the city. Since the first light bulb was invented in the 1800’s new lamp technology has evolved. When the fluorescent tube was invented in 1929, sales of traditional light bulbs plummeted, and then in the 1970’s along came the compact fluorescent, since then new variations have evolved, sales of the former types have virtually disappeared, but the fundamental lamp design has remained unchanged, using a heating element to ignite gases and produce light. New Coke Bottle to Be Revealed, Features High-resolution LED Screen

The Coca-Cola Co.’s new 49-foot-tall Coca-Cola Contour bottle will be revealed at Turner Field on July 16, the beverage giant said. The new “21st Century” version of the previous bottle, which stood for 12 years, features a high-resolution, programmable LED screen that can produce millions of colors.
