Northern Border In-Transit, LLC (NBIT) located in Detroit, Michigan, has selected Lumasmart to upgrade its exterior lighting with LED wallpacks. LumaSmart’s LED Wallpack, which draws 65 watts of electricity, will replace 400 watt High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights that currently draw 465 watts with ballasts factored in – an 85% savings in energy.

Samsung has announced three new 3D TVs in the US, one of which is the world’s largest 3D LED TV. London minnow Enfis has announced that it was contracted to supply LED arrays and drivers for the NBA Stadium under construction in Guangzhou, China , for this November's Asian Games, which it said would help it showcase its product in the whole of Asia. The contract is the group's largest individual order for architectural lighting. Enfis will provide a total 900 LED light engines for the stadium for an undisclosed amount.
