Cooper Lighting and Safety has provided 65 RXD1 LED downlights to the Dominion Centre, a former theatre that is now used as a place of worship, in Wood Green, London.
The 1930-built cinema and theatre building retains 12 large 400W metal-halide house lights recessed into the ornate plasterwork.
The officials of the centre have decided to supplement these main house lights by additional luminaires during a recent renovation scheme.

Recently, Delta Electronics' LED project and AU Optronics' (AUO's) AMOLED project has received subsidies totaling NT$600 million (US$19.7 million) from the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), which accounted for about 45% of each company's estimated research expenditure.
Delta has developed a 3D display technology with using multiple LED projectors to create high-resolution, multiple viewing angle 3D images, which did not require users to wear glasses.

TYNTEK Applied Product Division introduced a very bright 3W single LED headlamp. It achieves 40Lux from 10meters away. The lamp meets German bicycle headlamp regulation and it is K-Mark certified. TYNTEK's Optical Center designed the reflector which creates relatively sharp horizontal cutoff line. The light pattern is cut off to the top of the beam to keep focused light out of the eyes of oncoming drivers. To be simple, beam is brightest at the top getting progressively dimmer towards the bottom just like a high quality automobile low beam.

Germany-based GaN (gallium nitride) epitaxial wafers manufacturer Azzurro Semiconductors invested EUR 14.5 million to build a new joint company, with expanding production ability for GaN-on-silicon epitaxial wafers.

MIC Electronics Limited has been reported to bags multiple LED orders worth Rs 23.89 cr.
One Rs.6.63 Cr order comes from the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA), based on the agreement that MIC Electronics will supply LED Solar Street Lighting Systems to them.

Most street lights are not metered for actual power usage. The new tariff would allow the utility to correctly calculate the energy used by LED street lights and a municipality to pay a lower price for energy used for lighting.
