Visual Photonics Epitaxy Co. Ltd. (VPEC) of Taiwan has ordered AIXTRON AG eight 2600G3 IC MOCVD tools. In the fourth quarter 2009 VPEC placed its order for multiple additional epitaxial growth reactors making it the single largest purchase of its kind for the company this year. Taiwan-based Delta Electronics Inc., a globally leading supplier of power supplies, has decided to pay more attention to green business deployment, and invest more than NT$20 billion (US$625 million at US$1: NT$32) in output expansion related to the matter. Taiwan’s LED chipmaker Tekcore Co. To meet positive market demand in the mid to long term, Sharp Corporation of Japan has decided to start mass production of blue LED chips at its Fukuyama Plant in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan within 2010, as well and to expand materials procurement. California based start-up company Porifera Inc., has ordered one Black Magic CNT system from AIXTRON AG. Successfully installed by the local AIXTRON support team at Porifera’s state-of-the-art facility in Hayward, CA, USA, the system enabled the first CNT material to be grown within less than a week.
