AIXTRON AG today signed a contract with Sanan Optoelectronics Co. Ltd., on the supply of a double digit number of multiple CRIUS® II and AIX G5 MOCVD systems. The AIXTRON new generation MOCVD systems will be delivered between the fourth quarter of 2010 and the first quarter of 2011 and installed at Sanan’s new manufacturing facilities in Wuhu, Anhui, China. Earlier this year Sanan had announced their plans to invest into China’s largest LED manufacturing and research centre capable of operating up to 200 MOCVD systems.

Topco Energy Saving System schedules to achieve a 20% share of the Japanese market for LED bulbs this year.
According to Sunny Tsai , the company president ,the firm with 90% of its sales generated in Japan, has shipped over 100,000 LED bulbs to the country in July alone. What's more, it looks to achieve single-month shipment of over 500,000 units during the Christmas sales season.
The firm has commanded an 11% share of the segment in Japan with 6W LED bulbs priced at only NT$349.

TSMC will set up a new plant with more than $9.4 billion in Taichung, Taiwan. The new plant has a total site area of 18.4ha and will have a building area of 430,000sqm and clean room area of 104,000sqm. It's reported to create 8,000 jobs over the next few years.
Fab 15, in Taichung's Central Taiwan Science Park will be TSMC's third GigafabTM, or fab with capacity of more than 100,000 300mm wafers per month, and will also be TSMC's second GigafabTM equipped for 28nm technology.
