Lithonia Lighting, an Acuity Brands company based in Atlanta, Georgia USA, has introduced the new product RTLED and announced that Lithonia Jumps into LED lighting market. RTLED is a volumetric recessed luminaire that delivers ambient white light throughout an entire space. RTLED boasts 50,000 hours of light without having to replace lamps or ballasts, thereby reducing downtime.

AIXTRON AG has announced an order for one Close Coupled Showerhead MOCVD system from Tyndall National Institute, based in University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. The order was received in the fourth quarter 2009 and the system will be delivered in the first half of 2010 in a 3x2 inch wafer configuration.
